Chemung County

Chemung County has 8 communities in the Clean Energy Communities Program, 4 participating (Village of Horseheads, Village of Elmira Heights, City of Elmira, and the Town of Southport) and 4 certified communities (Town of Veteran, Town of Catlin, Town of Big Flats, and the town of Elmira).

The Town of Big Flats is the first community in Chemung County that is active in the Climate Smart Community Program.
